PNE 's biggest gate for 36 years. I think I was there at the previous game as Spurs are one of my teams and won 2-1 at Deepdale in the League Cup circa November 1971 with Steve Perryman scoring the winner. I was also at Deepdale August Bank Holiday Monday evening in 1971 when PNE played Burnley in front of 30,000+. I think Burnley won the match. I had been at Old Trafford to watch Lancs v Worcestershire during the day and called in at Deepdale on the way back. Those were the days.

36025 v Man U about 1972, I was also on the Burnley game. Enjoyed it tonight, the passing is the differnce, they very rarely wasted a ball. And as for Torres, frightening player looked dangerous every time he touched the ball, unlike Robbie Keane. Good result at Torquay
