You'll find some of the older local cups can take precedence over the league if you really can't fit both games to suit each other. Unfortunately the lancashire fa site seems to be in the process of being revamped and the rule pages dug up by google no longer exist (and they're not cached).

Link to the "old" Lancashire Cup site. Not sure if the rules are there but the site is most certainly cache. But won't give me any cash. Or something.
