Official Unofficial Wind Up! (ex-shareholder meeting)A brief summary of Monday's shareholders meeting.
- City of Lancaster AFC Ltd was officially liquidated last Monday as a acceptable agreement could not be reached with the principal creditor. He wanted moore than was acceptable or feasible from the new owners.
- Anyone with shares in the old company..........er...............doesn't anymore (d'oh!)
- New Ltd Company to start up next Monday (I think that will be Lancaster City FC Ltd). With an offer for the clubs assets (goals, corner flags, balls, Albert etc) accepted in principal.
- We have a received a written understanding from the FA that we will be in level four of the pyramid next year. What level four will look like though is still up in the air i.e. we are in Unibond Div1, but whether that is North, West or As Is is still not known.
- There will be a further meeting in June to decide who the club officials will be and how the various committees will look. Anyone interested in becoming a share holder or director should contact presumably Mick or Ian or John or Dave in the meantime.
- There was plenty of discussion as to how the various teams will look i.e. reserves, u-18, u-16s etc (boring day to day stuff!! ).
- The plan is to be sensible in our approach to next season and beyond, working within sensible budget restraints (i.e. not to go hell for leather, splashing out cash here, there and everywhere). Anyone expecting us to piss this tinpot league are likely to be dissappointed, but if it did happen then that would be a bonus.
- The above said, everyone is very positive about the club and its future; the future being the key.
- A number of money raising schemes were discussed, more to follow....
- Season tickets will be available price tba (but at a rough guess I'd say number of home games less two x c£6, so £90ish)
- The pitch is being re-done (work in progress)
Expect things to be pretty low key over May/June with publicity to get going toward the start of the pre-season.
It was also agreed (with high enthusiasm ) to send a message to you know who wishing them all the best for the weekend.
