Sol CampbellLooks like I was there to witness Sol's debut and finale as a League 2 footballer.
Back page of "Daily Mail" has Jim Bentley with his arms round Sol in Saturdays match with the story that Sol has said goodbye to his team mates.
It was doomed to failure. If your going to pay a footballer £40,000 per week in league 2 it should be to a striker and not a centre half.

Sol realised that after being pulled all over the place and made to look a right twat by Paul Mullin , Phil Jevons and later Michael Twiss that league 2 was not going to be a stroll in the park.
Add to that the fact that the rest of his "team mates" are on about £39,000 less per week than him then the team spirit may have not been conducive to a team looking for promotion !
